Usually, when you think of rheumatoid arthritis, you think of the joints. However, it can attack many organs of the body. RA is systemic inflammation. It is important to treat it as early as possible and not ignore it. I have seen forms of RA that don't affect the joints but affect the organs, although this is uncommon. RA can be very damaging when not under control. Diet and lifestyle cannot be emphasized enough when treating RA.

Luckily, there are many medications to treat RA now.
